Mee Mulundkar has more than 300 volunteers working wholeheartedly for the betterment of the society. The brainchild of Mr. Rahul Banavali, it was established on 5th may 2009 after a brief planning session for 6 months. Mee Mulundkar aims at achieving maximum participation from the youngsters residing not just in Mulund. But also in various other parts of Mumbai. At present the organization has volunteers from Dombivali, Thane, as well as from the western suburbs.
Mee Mulundkar aims at providing assistance to the residents of Mulund to achieve progress by voicing their opinions and being a part in the various cultural activities, sports events, literary events and festivals organized by the organization and helping the college youth by providing special platform for them to showcase their talents. It majorly focuses on the welfare of the people from all the age groups residing in Mulund and thereby looks after their needs as well as provides them a helping hand. There is no political affiliation to the organization and all the activities held and help provided is totally by non-political means.
The founder of Mee Mulundkar organization, Rahul Banavali has always had a love for social service right from his childhood. He has completed his education in the commerce stream from Dnyaansadhana college, Thane and later done his course in catering from Dadar Catering College. He has been an active member of the NSS unit in the college.He currently owns a catering business, named Shree Gajanan caterers, a famous venture in Mulund and has taken up contracts for industrial canteens. Mee Mulundkar has been his foresight which is now a dream come true for him. An ardent lover of culture, art and sports, he encourages all the volunteers of Mee Mulundkar to actively prove themselves at every point of time and is like a father figure to them.
